Jake Botts is a saxophonist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. Known for his pure, powerful saxophone sound and his heart-driven approach toward self-expression, he has spent his career searching for connection through sound. A community-minded musician, Jake spent years as a prominent member of the Nashville creative music scene before moving back to his home state of California in 2025.

2022 saw the release of Botts’ debut record, Global Works. The album, a collection of 10 original songs, brought together his diverse musical influences alongside his years of touring and recording experience into a cohesive and distinctive artistic statement.

Botts has toured extensively with artists like Kelly Clarkson, Cory Wong, and Lauren Daigle. He’s performed throughout the US, Europe, Asia, Australia, and even Russia. Some notable performances include appearances at Carnegie Hall, Red Rocks, and the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival. Jake has performed and/or recorded with Gladys Knight, John Legend, Meghan Trainor, The Black Keys, Hayley Williams, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Remi Wolf, Cuco, the Womack Sisters, Dr. Dog, Dan + Shay, Margo Price, Victor Wooten, Louis Cato, Sierra Hull, Jeff Coffin and Jon Batiste to name a few. He has performed on The Kelly Clarkson Show, The TODAY Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and the Billboard Music Awards.

In the studio setting, his saxophone can be heard on major-label recordings including releases from Atlantic, Interscope, Warner, and Sony Records. Botts has worked with some of the top producers on the scene today including Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys/Easy Eye), Gabe Roth (Daptone Records), Emilie Haynie, Tommy Brenneck, Daniel Tashian, and more.
